Analyzing Flat Regions

You can analyze flat regions on surface clusters.

Before you begin:
  • You must have access to the ICEM Shape Morphing app.
  • Open a 3D shape containing a surface cluster.

Flat Region Analysis Dialog Box
  1. Activate the display mode Shading with Material or Shading with Material and Edges. From the Analysis section of the action bar, click Flat Region Analysis .
  2. Select the surface.


  3. In the Display area, select Discs only.
  4. Click Apply.


  5. Select a point.


  6. Click Apply.
