About Erasing Faces and Edges

This sub-topic gives you general information about the Erasing command.

• During the modification, the selection of elements is previewed on the surface.
• You can undo or redo the changes only once the command has been validated using Apply (Enter) .

This sub-topic gives you specific information about the erasing of edges.

• Only closed propagations or propagations up to a free edge are available. The following illustration shows you the kind of edges that can be erased (in green) or not (in red):
  
  
• Multiple edges can be erased at the same time. Select multiple edges by pressing Ctrl or Shift and validate by clicking Apply (enter). The help text describes the edge selection modes.
  • Press Ctrl to:
    • add an unselected element to the selection.
    • remove a selected element from the selection.
  • Press Shift to select using a trap, draw the trap and release Shift.
• Edges created using the Cutting Faces command can be erased.
