Customizing Preferences

You can customize the Preferencesdedicated to Knowledgeware.

This task shows you how to:

App Preferences

You can define app-specific preferences for a spectrum of different Knowledgeware options.

  1. From the top bar, select Me > Preferences, and then click the App Preferences tab.
  2. In the left-hand pane, expand 3D Modeling, and then Multi Discipline Automated Engineering > Basics.
  3. In the right-hand pane, expand the section corresponding to the options to be customized.

    Section Description
    Parameters and Relations Describes the options when working with Knowledgeware relations, parameters and design tables.
    Engineering Knowledge Language Lets you load the libraries you want to work with.
    Units Describes the options you may need to check when working with Knowledge browsers.
    Parameters Tolerances Enables you to specify the default tolerance of Angle and Length type parameters.

  4. Specify these options according to your needs.
  5. In the left-hand pane, expand the 3DEXPERIENCE Platform Common Preferences, and then Display.
  6. In the right-hand pane, expand the 3D Shape Infrastructure section and click Parameters and Relations.

Script Security Management

You can detect and review potentially unsecured scripts to preserve the integrity of your data. It is important to detect unsecured scripts to safeguard your data.

  1. From the top bar, select Me > Preferences, and then click the Common Preferences tab.
  2. Locate Script Security Management at the bottom of the Parameters, Measures, and Units section.

    There are four modes:

    Mode Description
    Enable All Scripts Execution This is the default mode. When activated, all scripts are considered to be secured and no checks are performed for unsecured scripts.
    Ask First Time On Each Script Execution This mode displays a Script Execution Warning and asks if you want to run the Script.
    Show Scripts Panel On Open This mode displays a panel that lists all the features that contain potentially unsecured scripts such as the Name, Status, and Component. Double-clicking a row opens the associated feature editor.
    Note: You can Enable or Disable a single feature as well as all of them by clicking Enable All or Disable All.
    Disable All Scripts Execution This mode disables all potentially unsecured scripts. You can activate scripts from features by selecting Display Script Security Report in the Action Bar Customization section of Tools.

  3. Select the mode that is most suitable for your needs and click Apply > Ok.
