Creating a Multi-Building Project Site

You can create a building project site with two or more buildings; each building in the site has its own Shell and Core and its own set of stories. You can also use this task to create a building mass within a site volume.

Before you begin:
  • Activate a Site tab.
  • To create a building mass within a site volume, create the site volume and apply the necessary setbacks, vertical setbacks, and easements.

  1. For each building required for the project, create the building as follows:
    1. In the tree, click Site.
    2. From the context toolbar, click Insert New Building .
      The system lists the building in the tree.
  2. For each building in the tree:
    1. In the tree, click the building.
    2. From the context toolbar, click Activate Component .
    3. Create the sketch and the mass to create the building.

      If you have a site volume, create the building sketch and mass within the site volume.

    4. Continue to develop the building, adding elements such as stairs, elevators, a roof, and spaces.

    Tip: You can divide each building and each story in each building into separate tabs for other architects and designers to develop individually.
