You can move and position leaders breakpoints
easily, for all types of annotations using snapping (the leader is oriented
perpendicular to the reference element).
Before you begin:
Open a layoutrepresentation containing a text with leader and a balloon, for example. Add a breakpoint to both the annotations.
Go to Me
> Preferences > App Preferences > 3D Modeling > Mechanical Systems > Drafting > Handles tab, under Rotation, select the Snap by default (SHIFT toggles) check box.
You
can position the leader breakpoint anywhere. The leader segment attached to the breakpoint is snapped on the privileged direction.
Press Ctrl while moving the
leader breakpoint with the pointer.
The leader is snapped, and is positioned
vertically or horizontally, or perpendicular to the element to which
it is attached.
Release the pointer and Ctrl when
you are satisfied with the position of the leader.
Move the balloon leader breakpoint with the pointer.
You
can position the leader breakpoint anywhere.
The leader segment attached to the breakpoint is snapped on the privileged direction.
Press Ctrl while moving the
leader breakpoint with the pointer.
The leader is snapped, and is positioned
vertically or horizontally, which happens to be the same orientation
as the element to which the leader is attached.
Release Ctrl and the pointer when
you are satisfied with the position of the leader.
Both the leaders are now positioned properly.
Notes:
You can undo or redo the operations performed on an annotation. Each time you manipulate an
annotation, an Undo step is created in the
Undo/Redo Overview
panel.
An undo step is not created for the Free Rotation operation performed on an annotation.
