Working with Callouts

You can create a callout in the active view, reposition its texts, and also move its extremities to resize it.

This task shows you how to:

Before you begin:
  • Open a 3D shape representation containing a layout. Double-click a sheet in the tree to open the layout in the 2D window.
  • Create two projection views.
  • Create a section view, section cut or auxiliary view with a callout.
  • By default, a callout is created in the active view if the Create callout in active view check box is selected in Me > Preferences > App Preferences > 3D Modeling > Mechanical Systems > 2D Layout for 3D Design > View Creation, under View From Reference.
  • To create a callout where active view is not perpendicular to the selected reference, select the Enable creation of callout for non-perpendicular view check box, from Me > Preferences > 2D Layout for 3D Design > Annotation and Dress-Up section, under Callout Creation.
  • To place the callout at the middle of the bounding box, select the Position callout of non-perpendicular view according to resulting view bounding box check box.
