Modifying Derived Event Properties

If you want to add more information to or update the details of a derived event, you can modify it. You can modify details such as event confirmation, timing, description, medical status, and reportable status.


Before you begin:
  • You must be the complaint owner, event originator, or Quality Manager .
  • Ensure that the complaint is in In Process state.
  • You must be on the Derived Event Properties page.

  1. From the Derived Event Properties page toolbar, click Edit.
  2. Modify the following details.
    Section Name Field Name Description
    Event Confirmed Select Yes if the event is confirmed. Otherwise, select No.
    Note: You must be a Quality Manager to edit this field.
    Public Health ThreatSelect Yes if the problem is a public health threat. Otherwise, select No.
    MedicalSelect Yes if the event is confirmed. Otherwise, select No.
    Note: This field is not editable if the event is reportable.
    Product ProblemSelect Yes if the problem was caused by product malfunction. Otherwise, select No.
    Reportable StatusSelect a reportable status for the event. You can select Not Reportable, Reportable, Other, or Unknown.
    Note: This field is not editable if the event is not medical.
    Reportable RationaleType the reason if you designate the event as reportable
    Event ClassificationTimingSelect the process during which the problem was identified. You can select Kit Inspection, Other, Unknown, or Upon Receipt.
    Note: You must be the event originator or a Quality Manager to edit this field.
    Event InformationEvent DetailsDescribe the details of the event.
    Note: You must be the event originator or a Quality Manager to edit this field.
  3. Click Done.
    The details of the derived event are updated.
