You can locally override a PLM ambience in Live Rendering,
and create a new product ambience. By default, the product ambience
inherits the parameters of the ambience reference.
Before you begin:
Only the parameters that you can override are displayed.
In the General tab, the preview area displays in real time the
customization of the background and lights.
You can maximize the preview and display it in a separate window. To do so, click:
to detach the preview from the General tab. You
can move, resize, group, snap, stack, or dock the HDRi Lights
Preview window to one of the four docking areas like any
immersive panel.

This grid is made of three vertical lines and one horizontal line:
The three vertical lines highlight the three key longitude angles: -90°,
0°, and +90°.
The horizontal line highlights the horizon, at 0° latitude.
To hide the grid, click Hide Helper
Grid.
Export HDR
Lets you save the current ambience in .hdr format.
Modify the appropriate properties in the General and Ground
tabs.
Click Save as new to product.
A new image thumbnail is created in the Product
Ambiences panel and the created ambience is automatically activated. Its
parameters are initialized with the parameters you customized and you can keep on
overloading them through the ambience panel.
Edit the Ambience Reference of a PLM Ambience
You can edit the reference of a PLM ambience through Ambience Studio.
From the Live Rendering section of the action bar,
click Manage Ambience.
Do one of the following:
In the Product Ambiences panel, right-click a PLM ambience
image, and then select Edit Source.
At the bottom of the ambience panel, click Edit Source.
Click at the top of the General tab.
Double-click the PLM ambience in the tree.
Note:
To display the tree, click in the left
docking area.
Ambience Studio opens to let you edit the ambience reference.
Make the required changes.

By default, the product
ambience inherits the parameters of the ambience reference.
Important:
If
the template ambience is modified afterward, the changes are not reflected in the
copied ambience since the link between the two ambiences has been cut.
To go back to Live Rendering, click Exit App
from the Ambience Studio section of the action bar.
