Substance Classification Thresholds

You can view threshold information for substance classifications. You can also add one or more existing substance classifications to a threshold and edit a threshold.

Required access roles:

  • Baseline: Author, Leader, Owner
  • App-specific: Compliance Engineer, Senior Compliance Engineer

To access this page:

  1. Open the required Compliance Definition. For more information, see Opening a Compliance Definition.
  2. In the navigation pane, click Substance Classification Thresholds.

Columns

Column NameDescription
NameThe name of the substance classification.
Threshold CategoryThe category of the threshold. The value can be "Prohibited", "Restricted", "Reportable", or "Unrestricted". This value is primarily used for informational purposes so you can identify the potential consequences of exceeding the threshold. It is also used in the substance threshold report to organize the selectable thresholds by threshold category on the input dialog box, and show the threshold category for any threshold exceeded in the output.
Threshold TypeThe threshold type for the threshold. Values can be "Greater Than" or "Greater Than or Equal".
Threshold The threshold at which any substance in the category becomes non-compliant.
Intentionally Added - 0% ThresholdA flag indicating if any amount of substance in the category that when intentionally added to the material causes the material to be non-compliant.
Threshold LevelThe threshold level is either Material or Part. If not specified, a material level threshold is assumed.
Threshold DescriptionDescriptive text describing the threshold.
ApplicationThe application related to the compliance type. If the Threshold Level is set to Material, the Application field is display-only.

These actions are only available for inactive Compliance Definitions.
