Editing Threshold Substances

You can edit threshold values for substances and substance classifications on the list pages or when adding them to a compliance definition.

Required access roles:

  • Baseline: Author, Leader, Owner
  • App-specific: Compliance Administrator, Compliance Engineer, Senior Compliance Engineer


Before you begin:
  1. View the substance thresholds or substance classifications thresholds list for a compliance definition. See Substance Thresholds or Substance Classification Thresholds.
  2. From the page toolbar, click Actions > Add Existing.
  3. Search for the required substances or substance classifications.
  1. Select one or more substances and click Submit.
  2. For each substance or substance classification, you can edit these fields:

    Field NameDescription
    Threshold CategoryThe category, such as unrestricted or prohibited, of the threshold.
    Threshold TypeHow the comparison will be made to determine if the substance exceeds the threshold.
    ThresholdThe threshold at which any substance in the category becomes non-compliant.
    Intentionally Added - 0% ThresholdA flag indicating if any amount of substance in the category that when intentionally added to the material causes the material to be non-compliant.
    Threshold LevelThe threshold level is either Material, Component, or Part. If not specified, a material level threshold is assumed.
    ApplicationThe application related to the compliance type. If the Threshold Level is set to Material, the Application field is display-only.
    SCIP Select Yes to specify the threshold level to SCIP. Otherwise select the value as blank.

  3. Click Done.
