Material Specifications List

You can define a library of material specifications in Materials Compliance Management. When associating a specification to a material, you can optionally select an existing specification from the material specification library.

Required access roles:

  • Baseline: Author, Leader
  • App-specific: Compliance Engineer, Senior Compliance Engineer

To access this page:

  1. Open the required material. For more information, see Opening a Material.
  2. In the navigation pane, click Specifications.

Columns

Column Name Description
Number of files locked / number of files checked into this document. For example, 2/4 indicates 2 files of the 4 files checked into this object are locked.
If the icon shows in the row, the document is included in an active route.
Name The name of the specification.
Title The title of the specification.
Rev The revision level of the specification object.
Ver The version identifier.
Type The object type: Material Specification.
Actions

Icon Name Action
Subscribe View and select subscriptions for a document.
Download Download the files in the Document to your local computer. Browse to the directory or folder you want to contain the file.

When the document contains multiple files they are downloaded in a single zip file.

Check Out and Lock Check out the files in the Document to your local computer and lock the files from other users who cannot unlock it. Navigate to the folder or directory you want to contain the file.

Check in Checkin a new version of a checked out file.
Upload file Add a new file.

Description The description of the specification.
State The current state of the specification.
OEM The Original Manufacturer Name on the material specification. Only shows if ELV data management is used.
IMDS Institute The IMDS Institute related to the material specification. Only shows if ELV data management is used.

Download Downloads the selected specification. -
Remove Removes the selected specification from the material. -
Delete Deletes the selected specification.

You must have the Leader or Senior Compliance Engineer access role.
