Creating Material Declarations

You can create a material declaration from the Active Material Declarations category for an MEP. You can also use the Unreported Parts report or Supplier Report, you can create a material declaration for each unreported part. For more information, see Creating Material Declarations for Unreported Parts.

A material declaration is also auto-created when a reported BOM is imported and the material declaration does not already exist. A reported BOM import is the import of a reported part declaration from IMDS, IPC 1752, JAMA, JAMP AIS, or XML. In this case, the material declaration is created in the "Received" state since it is being reported at the same time it is being created.
