DCR Properties

The DCR Properties page shows details about the DCR entered when the DCR was created or modified.

For details about the categories related to the DCR, see Opening a DCR.

To access the DCR Properties page, do one of the following:

  • Click > Manufacturing > Change from the top bar to search for and select a DCR. See About Searches.
  • Click the highlighted name of a DCR from any related page.

Fields

FieldDescription
NameName of the DCR
TypeThe type of DCR
DescriptionDetails that describe the DCR
Change ResponsibilityThe organization that is the responsible change organization for the DCR
PolicyThe policy that controls the lifecycle and access for the DCR
OwnerPerson to whom management of the DCR is currently assigned
OriginatorPerson who created the DCR
OriginatedThe date when the DCR was created
SeverityThe relative importance of the change: High, Medium, or Low
StateCurrent state of the DCR in its lifecycle
Reported AgainstDisplays all items connected to the DCR. Click any highlighted name in this column to display the Properties page of the item.
Distribution ListName of the member list that is used for notifications about the DCR. Click any highlighted name in this column to display the Member List page.
Reviewer ListA reviewer list is a route template with a base purpose of “Review” that defines the list of people that should review the DCR before it is promoted to a specified state. Click any highlighted name in this column to display the Route Template page.
Category of ChangeCan be any of the following: Unassigned, Vendor Requirement, Product Improvement, New Production Introduction, Marketing Requirement, Facilitate Manufacturing, Drafting Error, Cost Reduction
Reason for ChangeDescribes why the change is required
Responsible Design EngineerA selected user in the Senior Design Engineer role who reviews the DCR and creates an MCO to effect the change
Affected OrganizationsA comma-separated list of the organizations who are responsible for the affected items connected to the DCR
Deviation Related information
Start Effective DateDate when the DCR becomes effective
End Effective DateDate when the DCR expires
Affected PlantsPlants that are affected by the DCR

Cancel DCRCancel the DCR. This link is not available if you do not have modification access to the DCR.See Canceling an ECR.
Summary Report Generate an HTML report of all categories related to the DCR. The report displays in a form. You can print the report using your browser’s print function.
