Removing Manufacturing Substitutes

You can remove a manufacturing substitute in the context of a BOM.

Before you begin: Search for and select a part with a valid BOM.

Adding Alternate or Substitute Parts to a BOM
  1. Click the Bill of Materials.
  2. Click the Plant Preferences tab.
  3. From the page toolbar, click Edit All.
  4. Select manufacturing substitute parts that you want to remove.
  5. From the page Actions menu or toolbar, click Remove.

The manufacturing substitute parts are disconnected from the BOM and the BOM is refreshed with changes.
