About Mesh Execution

You can control the options, execution, and removal of a surface, 3D rules (tetrahedron), or partitioned hex mesh.

Mesh execution is not automated. There are many different controls you can use to customize mesh generation. Rather than regenerating the mesh after each change you make in the specifications—which could be time-consuming in larger models—the mesh execution controls are provided.

When you are done editing specifications, you can mesh the model to see the results of your changes. If you do not like the results, you can or delete it while keeping the specifications. You can also keep the mesh, edit individual nodes and elements, change some of the specifications, and create an updated mesh.

You can acces the global mesh specifications within the Surface Mesher (without returning to the Fluid Model Creation or Structural Model Creation app). This allows you to quickly change parameters like the mesh size that impact the entire mesh. You can also update local mesh changes without regenerating the entire mesh.
