Locking the Mesh

You can lock individual elements or all the elements in a selected domain. Locking elements allows you to protect them from modifications to surrounding elements.


Before you begin: Open the Surface Mesher or Tetrahedron Mesher.

  1. Optional: From the Edit section of the action bar, clickElement Lock .
  2. Select one of the following options:
    OptionDescription
    Locks the individual elements that you select.
    Locks all the elements in the selected domains.

    Note: Once an element is locked, you cannot modify it until you unlock it. You can unlock elements and domains by selecting the command again and clicking the locked elements or domain.

The selected elements become transparent, and any modifications applied to neighboring elements do not impact the locked elements.
