Viewing Failed Criteria

You can show all failed elements grouped by the criteria for which they have the largest percentage failure.

To improve visualization of the failed elements, you can assign a color according to failure criteria.

  1. From the Check section of the action bar, click Quality Analysis .

    Tip: You can also right-click the mesh in the tree and select Analyze to analyze the mesh quality of a single mesh. Alternatively, you can select Quality Analysis from the context menu in the Mesh Part Manager.

    The Quality Report panel appears and displays tabs containing information about the meshes in the finite element model representation.
  2. Select the Failed Criteria tab.
    The Failed Criteria tab lists the criteria that describe one or more of the failed elements, as well as the number and percentage of these elements for each criterion.
    Tip: To reframe the view of the model to the failed elements of a specific criterion, right-click the cell in the criterion row that corresponds to the Failed elements column and select Reframe On.
  3. Optional: To customize the color of the failed elements, click its color swatch in the table, and use the Color Chooser to specify a new connectivity color.
  4. Select a criterion to color the corresponding elements and render all other elements transparent.
