Import the following 3DXML to your server and then use catalog browser to instantiate the items from catalog.

The catalog has more than 450 resources for industrial factory layouts.

The range of resources include:

  • Machine Tools
  • Storage
  • Material Handling Equipment
  • Infrastructure
  • Accessories

The catalog contains:

  • Parametric Resources
  • Nonparametric Resources
  • Component Assemblies
  • Primitive Shapes
Some resources come with a predefined connector port, seeContext Toolbars.

The catalog has keywords to filter your resource selection.

You can select parent resources while instantiating the template from the catalog. The automatically active node is used as a parent when you instantiate a template from catalog.

Note: You may not have the rights to choose the parent.

The Placement Method and Snap Options toolbars appear to fine-tune the placement of the resource.

You can use different placement method to place the objects in the layout.

To preview items in a catalog, select Preview in the Resource Positioning tab of Me > Preferences > App Preferences > Simulation > Digital Manufacturing Apps Common Services .

To see the thumbnail, index the server once the catalog is imported.
