Creating Systems with Explicit Attributes

You can create systems in the System Editor while defining the attributes explicitly in a dialog box for each system.

Before you begin: Under Add > Content, verify that the Set attributes at creation option is selected when you right-click the required system type in the New Content dialog box. Start Process Planning: the System Editor opens and a root system is created.

  2. Enter any required attribute values and click OK.
The system is created in the System Editor with the assigned attribute values.
  3. Continue to add systems to the system structure in the same way, defining the attribute values for each system.

Notes:
  • Sometimes the Set attributes at creation option is not selected when you right-click the required system type in the New Content dialog box. In this case, the attributes dialog box does not appear when creating a system. The system is created with default values.
  • The attributes of a system can be modified at any time by right-clicking the system tile or tree node and selecting Properties. See Using the System Editor.
