Managing the Opacity and the Thickness

You can modify the opacity and the thickness for the Sketch and the Traces commands at any time.

Before you begin: Create at least one curve using any of the following commands:

Options are available in the Graphic Properties frame at the right of the screen.

  1. Start tracing.
The created curves appear in black.

By default, the opacity is set to 100% and the thickness is set to 5 mm.

  2. Modify the opacity by doing either of the following:
    • Drag the slider.
    • Edit the value.
  3. Start tracing again.
The created curves now appear with the defined opacity.

  4. Repeat Step 2 to modify the thickness.
  5. Start tracing again.
The created curves now appear in the defined thickness.

Tip: You can modify the thickness and opacity parameters directly in the work area by pressing and holding C. Drag up to increase the thickness and down to reduce it. Drag left to reduce the opacity and right to increase it. A full circle shows the current color and opacity of the brush and parameters are updated in both work area and Graphic Properties frame. If the pointer is too small, it appears as a cross to show the pointer position. Zoom in to display the full circle.
