Creating a Pipe

You can create a pipe.


Before you begin: Create a logical reference.

  1. Select the logical reference.
  2. Click Create New Reference from the Edition section of the action bar.
    The New Content dialog box appears.
  3. Expand the Fluid Systems Logical tab and right-click Logical Pipe.
  4. Optional: Select the Set attributes at creation option.

    Note: This option remains selected when creating the same type of component.

  5. Click Logical Pipe.
    The Piping Pipe dialog box appears.
    Note: To inherit the attributes value from the line ID, use the Transfer Line ID command.
  6. Type a name and click OK.
    A pipe is created under the logical reference.
    Note: A Fluid Route node is created under the Extensions node to store all the pipes.

    In the active diagram view, the Create Pipe dialog box appears. You can route your pipe or close the Create Pipe dialog box. For more information about routing pipes, see Routing a New Pipe.
