View Section

The primary area of the View section provides commands for managing the 3D display and selection.

Home
Returns to the home page.


Edit Mode
Activates or deactivates the edition mode. When disabled, the authoring commands are grayed out.
Direct manipulation using drag and drop operations is also blocked.

Note: The Edit Mode is activated by default. Each time you instantiate a new widget, the Edit Mode is also activated by default.

Work under Bookmark
Set or unset a bookmark as active.
Set a bookmark as active to add inside all the newly created content of the widget.


Display Root List
Hides or shows the list of root objects in the left navigation pane.

To remove a root, click the close icon.

To cross-highlight, select the root in the side panel. The same root is selected in the 3D.



Tree View

Expand All
See Flyout for Expanding or Collapsing Structures.

Notes:
  • You can access all tags from the structure even when only the root is loaded. This enables you to complete only necessary branches when selecting tags.
  • After an expand, the type that appears in the Type column is translated asynchronously.



Select All Visible
See Flyout for Selecting Objects.
Close
Close all the objects from the view.


Display Side Panel
Displays information about the selected object in different tabs in a side pane.

Tree List View
Displays product structure as a tree.


Graph View
Displays product structure as a graph.

Flyout for Expanding or Collapsing Structures



Expand All
Expands all the children of the selected object.
The parent nodes containing only one 3D shape are collapsed. You can expand them manually to display the 3D shape.

Expand N Levels
Expands N levels of the selected objects.
The parent nodes containing only one 3D shape are collapsed. You can expand them manually to display the 3D shape.

Collapse All
Collapses all the children of the selected object.
See Expanding and Collapsing a Structure.

Flyout for Selecting Objects

Note: These commands only select objects that are loaded in session. For example, if you expand then collapse a node, and then click Select Children , the children that were loaded with the expand action are selected.


Select All Visible
Selects all visible objects in the structure.


Select Children
Selects all the child objects of the selected objects recursively. The selected objects remains selected.


Select Inversion
Selects all the objects in the structure except the branch of the object you selected.
If you do not select an object first, this command selects all objects in the structure, except the root.


Select Parent
Selects the parent of the selected objects.
Selecting the parent object cancels the selection of the object you selected.


Select Siblings
Selects the sibling objects. Siblings are objects that share a parent with the currently selected object.
Selecting the sibling objects cancels the selection of the object you selected.


Select Leaves
Selects the leaves of the selected objects. Leaves are objects that have no child object.
Selecting the leaf objects cancels the selection of the object you selected.
