Fields

Field Name Description
Master Request Name of the CAPA request of which the selected CAPA request is a duplicate. This field appears only when the selected CAPA request is marked as a duplicate.
Created Date when the CAPA request was created.
Modified Date when the CAPA request was last modified.
StateState of the CAPA request. Possible states are Preliminary, Requested, Review, Approved, Committed, Fulfilled, and Not Approved.
OriginatorName of the CAPA request creator.
CAPA TypeType of the CAPA request, corrective or preventive.
SeveritySeverity of the CAPA request. Possible values are Critical, High, Medium, and Low.
Source TypeType of the source through which the issue was identified.
ScopeScope of the CAPA request.
TitleTitle of the CAPA request.
Problem StatementDescription of the issue.
OwnerName of the CAPA request owner.
OrganizationName of the CAPA request owner's organization.
NameName of the associated CAPA. Click to view its details.
StateState of the associated CAPA.
Custom Attributes Name of attribute: Custom attributes that are connected with the type and subtype of the CAPA request.

Submit for Review Promotes the CAPA request from the Preliminary state to the Requested state. See Submitting a CAPA Request for Review.
Needs InformationSends the CAPA request back to the creator to obtain more information.

Type your comments and click Done.

Notes:
  • You must be a Quality Manager .
  • The selected CAPA request must be in the Review state.

Change OwnerTransfers the CAPA request to the selected person. See Transferring a CAPA Request.
Create CAPACreates a CAPA.See Creating a CAPA.
Associate CAPAAssociates an existing CAPA to the selected CAPA request. Select the required CAPA from the Search Results page and click Submit.
Notes:
  • You must be a Quality Manager or a Project Lead.
  • The CAPA request must be in the Approved state.
  • The CAPA must be in the Create, Assign, Active, or the Review state.
  • The CAPA request must not be connected to the CAPA.

Set DuplicateMarks the CAPA request as a duplicate of the selected master CAPA request.

Select the required CAPA request from the Search Results page and click Submit.

Notes:
  • You must be a Quality Manager and the owner of the CAPA request.
  • The CAPA request to duplicate must be in the Review state.
  • The master CAPA request must be in the Approved, Committed, Fulfilled, or the Not Approved state.
  • The master CAPA request must be of the same CAPA type as the duplicate CAPA request.

UnduplicateRemoves the duplicate status of the CAPA request. After you remove the duplicate status, the CAPA request is moved to the Preliminary state.
Note: You must be a Quality Manager to perform this action.

EditActivates edit mode in which you can modify the Severity, Title, Source Type, Scope, and the Problem Statement fields. Click Done to save the changes.
Notes:
  • You must be the owner of the CAPA request that you want to modify.
  • You can modify only the CAPA requests that are in the Preliminary state or the Review state.
  • If the CAPA request is in the Preliminary state, you can also modify the CAPA type.
