Creating Tray References

You can create tray references to set up a catalog used in the Engineering Specification Capture & Reuse app.

Before you begin:
  • In Me > Preferences> Equipment > General > Select 3D Shape Representation for Route, select the type of representation.
  • The Data Setup must contain the tables that provide the list of values available for each attribute.
  1. Select Add > Content.
The New Content dialog box appears.
  2. Scroll down the list of types and expand Raceway Physical.
A list appears showing the types of components you can create.
  3. In the list, select .
    The dialog box appears.
Important: To display the dialog box, the Set attribute at creation option must be selected. For more information, see Create a New Object in the 3DEXPERIENCE Native Apps guide.

You also need to define the Instantiation Rule attribute. For more information, see Creation Mode of Raceway Object.

  4. Fill in the fields.
  5. Click OK.
The new component is created and the Electrical Raceway 3D Part Design app opens.
  6. Modify the end style in the Data Information panel.

A default geometry is created. A portion of tray is created between two points.

Note: Ports on the tray are already created.
Important:

With an Engineering Specification Data Setup, a route reference is an object and is stored in catalogs. So during the route reference creation or modification, the editable attributes are copied from the object reference of the catalog to the current route reference, including the customer attributes. The following commands are impacted:

  • Create or edit route
  • Resize
  • Split
  • Comply with specification
