About the OnePart Connector for SOLIDWORKS PDM Professional Web API

This connector is largely based on the architecture of the existing SOLIDWORKS PDM but for the majority of operations it relies on the new PDM WebAPI implemented by SOLIDWORKS instead of the PDM client API. Only file retrieval operations are performed using the client API.

Context: The NETVIBES OnePart Connector for SOLIDWORKS PDM Web API is packaged as zip file containing:

  • PdmWebApiConnector-version.zip, a java based connector plugin containing the Connector and Security Source must be deployed
  • PDM-WebAPIServicePackage-version.zip, a .NET based Connector WebService package

Prerequisites

This connector plugin requires a license and the WebService package installation available on your software DVD. Internal users may obtain it from the connector package on https://airbridge.exalead.com.

Before starting you need to know:

  • the name or address of a machine with the SOLIDWORKS PDM Professional client installed
  • your SOLIDWORKS PDM Professional Vault name and corresponding database name if different
  • SOLIDWORKS PDM Professional account credentials (username and password) that will be used by OnePart to index SOLIDWORKS PDM Professional Vault
  • your SOLIDWORKS PDM Professional WebAPI endpoint URL
