Editing a Disposition

You can change the type of disposition, edit its title and description, and select a different defect action to be associated with the disposition.

Required access roles:

  • App-specific: Defect Engineer
  • Baseline: Author

Before you begin: Open the disposition. See Opening a Disposition.

Creating a Disposition
  1. Click Edit Details .
  2. Edit any of these details:

    Field NameDescription
    Dispostion TypeSelect the type of disposition used to address the defect from the list:
    • Errata
    • No Fix
    • Not Impacted
    • Spec Change
    • To Fix
    TitleType the short disposition title.
    DescriptionType a more detailed description of the defect's disposition.
    Disposing Defect ActionBegin typing the defect action name and select it from the list or click to open a search page where you select the defect action to be associated with the disposition.

  3. Click Done.

The dispositions details update and, if you selected a different defect action, the new defect action is linked to the disposition.
