Confirming Foundation Hub Configuration

You can perform some checks to confirm proper configuration of Foundation Hub working with Study Design and Tracking.

Check BIOVIA Services on Windows

You can check that the Windows services are running for the BIOVIA applications. If you have installed BIOVIA applications on different machines or in a load balanced configuration, perform these steps for each server, checking for the appropriate services.

  1. Open the Windows Task Manager and click the Description column header.
  2. Check that the following services have their status as Running:
    • BIOVIA Hub 21.1.0
    • BIOVIA Pipeline Pilot 21.1.0 (Manager)
    • BIOVIA Pipeline Pilot Service 21.1.0 (Httpd)
    • BIOVIA Pipeline Pilot Service 21.1.0 (Tomcat)
    • Optional: BIOVIA Compose 21.1.0
  3. If any service is not running, click Services... and set it to start automatically.

Check Registered Applications

You can check registration of all required and optional BIOVIA applications in Foundation Hub.

  1. Open Foundation Hub Admin and Settings and click Applications in the Settings section.
  2. Check that the following application Names are shown:

    • Foundation Hub
    • Pipeline Pilot
    • Inventory
    • Optional: Compose

  3. If any application is not registered, refer to its installation guide and register it in Foundation Hub.
