Create a Structural View Template
Before you begin: You must have installed the Templates
and Rules Designer (TER) role to create templates.
- From the Smart Template Administration section of the action bar, click Structural View Template .

Define the view template parameters.

- In the View Template - Toolbox panel, click Structural Parameters .

Under Primary Objects, edit the angular tolerance
of primary object.
The angular tolerance value for the primary object must be 0 – 45 deg. During view update, the angle is computed between the panel normal and the view direction. If the angle is within the angular tolerance, it is considered as primary object.

Under Secondary Objects Results, edit the angular
tolerance of secondary object.
By default, the Same as primary check box is selected. If you modify the angular tolerance of the primary object, the angular tolerance value of the secondary object is also updated. Clear the check box to manually update the angular tolerance value of the secondary object (0 – 45 deg).

Under Default Representation, edit the default
result for the structural secondary object.
- Select the structure object for which the default results are to be modified.
- In the Below Tolerance and Above Tolerance lists, select a secondary object representation mode for the selected structure object.
- In the Welded Stiffener list, select a secondary object representation mode.

Select the Filter Isolated Parts check box to
filter out all the isolated parts.
- Select the Filter only Isolated parts not crossing any primary object or View plane check box to filter only isolated parts that are not crossing the primary object or the view plane.
- Select the Enable Selective Filter check box to enable the filter based on the type of structure object.

Click Add to add a structure type to the filter
list.

In the object browser, select a structure type.
The corresponding selected structure type is shown in the list.
- Optional: Select a structure type from the structure object list and click Remove.
Note: To remove all the added structure object types from the list, clear the Enable Selective Filter check box. -
In the object browser, select a structure type.
