  1. From the Smart View section of the action bar, click Create Structural View .
  2. In the Smart View Panel dialog box, select a sheet, a 3D object, and a plane.
  3. Select a view template.

Tip: In the Catalog Browser , you can double-click a template to select it.
The template chapter is saved as preference for next time usage.

  4. Under View Properties, double-click the required parameter and modify it.
  5. In the Primary Content Filter tab, create a spatial filter box.

Recommendation: Create a spatial filter box if you want to use the multiview option.

  6. In the General tab, at the lower-left corner, click Show Smart Multiview Creation .
  7. In the Smart Multiview Creation dialog box, choose Select Plane.
  8. From the 3D area, select one or more planes.

Only the planes which are parallel to the main view plane can be selected.

If the main view contains a default structural box, the default structural box along the selected plane is created with the same offset as specified on the main view.

If the main view contains other spatial filters, those spatial filter views are translated to the plane selected in multi view dialog box with the same offset as specified on the main view.

If the spatial filter box is modified, click Refresh Preview.

  9. Optional: In the plane list, right-click and choose Select from Reference Planes.

The Space Reference System (SRS) planes system list shows only the planes which are parallel to the main view plane.

  10. Click OK.
All the views are created on the same sheet. The other views are created with view names having the plane names as their prefix. For example, If the 56th plane is selected, the view name is ASD View_FR.56.

Notes:
  • The selection of an SDD panel as a plane or panel in multi view dialog box is not supported.
  • It is not recommended to use the Select Panel option for structural views as the 3D object for the other views are the selected SFD panels. You cannot create structural section views from the views created using this option.
  • The view update rules created using the object selection are not copied to the additional views. The view update rules created using KWE rules or a view template containing view update rules, are copied to the additional views.
