About Structural Views
  1. Perform any one of the following actions:
    • From the Smart View section of the action bar, click Change Object Result and select a 2D element whose result is to be changed.

      Notes:
      • Only the 2D element corresponding to a structural view can be selected.
      • If you select a 2D element corresponding to a structure object, only the same type of structure object can be selected in the 2D. For example, if you select a panel in 2D, you can select only panels as the next selection.
      • If you want to change the selection from panel to stiffener, you have to remove all selected objects using Selection .
      • You cannot select a 2D element from a different structural view.
      • If you want to select a 2D element from another view, you have to remove all the selected objects using Selection .

    • From the Smart View section of the action bar, click Change Object Result and select a structural view from the tree.

      Notes:
      • You cannot select 2D elements from another view.
      • If you want to select 2D elements from another view, select the corresponding view and then select the 2D element. This removes all the current selected 2D elements and the result type are reset.
      • If you delete a structure object from the modified result list, you cannot select another view.

    • Right-click the 2D element corresponding to the structure object and select Change Object Result.

Note: If there is any modified structure object, it is displayed in the list or else the list is empty.

  2. From the Result type list, select a result type.
  3. Under Modified structure object results, select one or more structure objects and click Cancel .

Warning: If you remove the structure object from the modified list, you cannot select a 2D element from another view even if all the selected elements are removed. You have to run the command again to select 2D elements from another view.

  4. Select the Update view check box and click OK to update the view.

    Notes:
    • Change result applied to the primary object has no effect. The 2D result for a primary object is always projection.
    • If the change result is applied to a welded stiffener, the accepted values are projection and symbolic. If other values are specified, the default result specified on the view is used during view update.
