Generative View Style

Generative View Style (GVS) lets you customize the appearance of drawings, using a set of parameters defined in an XML file. You can generate graphic replacement for reference plane systems and structural objects.

Generative view styles (GVS) are defined by an administrator and specify the appearance and behavior of a generated view. GVS are defined in an XML file. For more information about GVS, see Drafting User’s Guide: Generative View Style: About Generative View Styles.

You can customize generative view style parameters for the reference plane system and structural objects. These parameters are shared by all structure apps.

Sample XML

In the sample XML file, generative view style parameters are located towards the bottom of the file under ReferencePlaneSystem and Structure nodes.

Note: The StructureObjects node consists of all generative view style parameters for stiffener, stiffener on free edge, beam, plate and opening.
