-
From the Operation section of the action bar, click Planning Break .
The Planning Break Management dialog box appears.
- In the Geometry box, select the volume extrude from the design unit.
All the structural objects along with their system status are listed in the Status tab.
-
Click the Estimate tab.
- Select the Generate Geometries check box to generate the graphical representation of the structural objects in the design unit.
- Click Attribute Definition to customize the list of attributes displayed in the report.
- In the Attributes Definition dialog box:
The Available Attributes area displays the attributes that are computed but not displayed in the report. The Displayed Attributes area displays the attributes that are computed and displayed in the report.
By default, all the available attributes are displayed in the report.
- Use the left and right arrow buttons to move the attributes between available and displayed attributes.
- Use up and down arrow buttons to change the order of the displayed attributes.
- Click Reset to reset the attribute lists to default.
-
Click Compute Report.
The output report is generated and displayed in the area below.
The report contains:
- Estimate of weight
- Estimate of center of gravity
- Maximum footprint dimension
- Bill of material for plate (material, thickness, total area and total weight of plates)
- Detailed information for individual plate (plate name, length, width, thickness, area, weight, material, CoG)
- Bill of material for profile (material, section standard, section shape, section size, total
length and total weight of profiles)
- Detailed information for individual profile (profile name, section standard, section shape,
section size, length, weight, material, CoG)
A node (identified as Design Unit Geometry Set) is created in the tree.
- Optional: Click Save Report and specify the path to save the report locally.
The report is saved in the .txt format.
- Optional:
Click Export Measures.
The CoG is created in the model, and under the tree in the
GeometricalSet_PB node.
Note:
If you click Export Measures number of times, then number of CoGs will be created at the same location in the 3D area. Also, number of new nodes will be created in the tree below the GeometricalSet_PB node.
Note:
When you modify the volume or planning break, and click Compute Report, the design unit geometry set is also updated. If the Generate Geometries is cleared and the volume is modified, the design unit geometries are not updated. In this case, there may be a difference between the declared weight and the design unit geometries.
