Managing Planning Break Exceptions

You can create exceptions in the planning breaks.


Before you begin:
  • Open the structure system where you want to create the planning breaks.
  • Initialize a design unit. For more information, see Initializing a Design Unit.

Computing a Report
  1. From the Operation section of the action bar, click Planning Break .
    The Planning Break Management dialog box appears.
  2. In the Geometry box, select the volume extrude from the design unit.
    All the structural objects along with their system status are listed in the Status tab. For more information, see About Planning Break Management.
  3. Select any structural object that have any of the following system status:
    • ACROSS
    • ON BOUNDARY
    You can apply filters to ease the selection of the required object.
  4. In the System Status column, for the selected row, right-click and select the required status.

    Important: You must define the status as OUT, IN with Planning Break, or IN fully included, else you cannot proceed with planning break.

    The selected exception is displayed in the Overridden column against the selected object.

    A new node with the same name as of the selected object is created in the tree below the Included Elements or Excluded Elements node depending on the selected exception.

  5. Click OK.
    The planning break is created.
  6. To modify the exception, double-click the object in the tree below the Included Elements or Excluded Elements node.
    The Planning Break dialog box appears.
