Assortment Data Sections

This topic describes the sections in the assortment data file. Each section represents specific data. Different sections are detected with the section keyword.

A section can contain one or more columns that represent data related to the current element. By default, five sections are available.

For example, a Company section can contain a column Name that represents the company name and a column Country that represents the company country.

Assortment Section

The Assortment section defines the current assortment. All the sub assortments, consumer decision tree, and products of the current file are connected to this assortment.

Sub Assortment Section

The Sub Assortment section lists the different sub assortments to create or update.

The new included sub assortment is connected to the current object.

Declares a sub assortment is included in another sub assortment. If used, this column must include the title of another sub assortment.

Notes:
  • You cannot include two sub assortments in one another.
  • You cannot create cyclical inclusion. For example, if you include Small Store in Medium Store, you cannot include Medium Store in Small Store.
Consumer Decision Tree Consumer Decision Tree The sub assortment is connected to the consumer decision tree. The former consumer decision tree is disconnected from the sub assortment.

The new consumer decision is connected to the sub assortment.

If used, this column must include the title of the consumer decision tree.

Notes:
  • The sub assortments are connected to the assortment defined in the file. If no assortment is defined, the sub assortment section is ignored. For example, if a sub assortment A is included in sub assortment B, the products associated with the sub assortment A are also associated with the sub assortment B.
  • If no consumer decision tree is defined, the sub assortment uses the default consumer decision tree.

Consumer Decision Tree Section

In the consumer decision tree section, each line represents a path from a root to a leaf.

Notes:
  • You can create several consumer decision tree sections. The first consumer decision section represents the default consumer decision tree. This section has only one column header. The header shows the name of the section, that is, Consumer Decision Tree section.
  • Additional consumer decision trees have two column headers. The first header shows the name of the section, that is, Consumer Decision Tree section. The second column header shows the title of the consumer decision tree.

Consumer Decision Tree Color Section

This section lists the consumer decision tree sections and the corresponding color assigned to them. The color must be in hexadecimal code format.

Note: If you have multiple consumer decision trees, create a Consumer Decision Tree Color section for each Consumer Decision Tree section.

Product or Representation Sections

The Product or Representation sections are dedicated to the products and representations. For a same UPC (or EAN), the first line matches with the product and default representation data. All the next lines match with additional representations.

Identifier that must contain only numerical characters [0-9]. It cannot contain the following characters: @ , * ? [ ] # $ \\ \" < > | %

This identifier is unique. Two products must have different UPC/EAN in the database.

The product is updated with the value written in the Excel sheet.

Height Height, Hauteur Numerical value expressed in meter (default length unit of SI). It can be expressed in a different unit if specified in the column header between parenthesis. The supported units are: millimeter (mm), centimeter (cm), inch, and meter (m).
Width Width, Largeur Numerical value expressed in meter (default length unit of SI). It can be expressed in a different unit if specified in the column header between parenthesis. The supported units are: millimeter (mm), centimeter (cm), inch, and meter (m).
Depth Depth, Length, Longueur Numerical value expressed in meter (default length unit of SI). It can be expressed in a different unit if specified in the column header between parenthesis. The supported units are: millimeter (mm), centimeter (cm), inch, and meter (m).
Weight Weight, Poids Numerical value expressed in kilogram. It can be expressed in a different unit if specified in the column header between parenthesis. The supported units are: gram (g), kilogram (kg), milligram (mg), centigram (cg), pound (lb), ton (T), and ounce (oz).
Supplier Supplier, Fournisseur Text value.
Product Count per Box Pcb, product count per box Numerical value.
Recommended Public Price Recommended public price, price Currency value specified by default in Euro. If you want to change this value, you must modify the column header and enter the right currency between parenthesis. Here is a list of all the supported currencies: Yen, Dollar, Euro, and Pound.
SubAssortment SubAssortment, sub assortment The product is connected to the sub assortment. A sub assortment cannot be disconnected.

Association between a product and one or several sub assortments. To do so, enter the sub assortments' titles, and separate them with the | sign. For example: Medium Store | Small Store.

If a sub assortment is included in another sub assortment, all the products associated with this sub assortment are associated with both sub assortments.

Consumer Decision Tree CDT, Consumer Decision Tree, Consumer Decision Tree Segment The product is connected to segments. A segment cannot be disconnected. You can only connect a segment.

Definition of the consumer decision tree. A product is assigned to a segment. Indicates the path leading to it. For example: Family/ABS/Red.

If you want to add your product to two different segments, indicate the paths leading to the correct segments, and separate them with a | sign. For example: Family/ABS/Red |Children/Red.

Note: If you entered a nonexisting segment path, your product is created, but is not linked to the consumer decision tree.

The first table row corresponds to the product and default representation.

The second table row corresponds to a second representation related to the product. It has the same EAN as the product.

Important:
  • The title of the product is mandatory.
  • If the title and description of the representations are missing, the Import Data command automatically adds the title and description of the related product in the empty cells. This behavior is available when you create or update data.
  • If the Shape attribute is specified as None and the RepSource attribute as Photo Modeling, the Shape attribute is automatically defined as Box.
