Importing Prepared and Exported Data

You can import product data and the associated images, and upload the information into the 3D Merchandising app. From these products and images, you can create 3D models and representations. You can also import 3DXML files, Collada archive (.zae) files, and data that was exported from the 3D Merchandising app. Non archived Collada (.dae) files are not supported.

Import Prepared Data

You can prepare product and assortment data, and import it into the 3D Merchandising app.

Before you begin: Prepare the data that you want to import. For more information, see Preparing Content.
  1. In the top bar, select Add > Merchandising > Import Data.
    The Import 3D Merchandising Data window appears.
  2. Click the Click or drop files here box, and select the XLS file and the images. You can also drag the XLS or CSV file, and the images into the Click or drop files here box.
    The document and image icons are highlighted.
    Tip: You can click Details to view the list of files selected for upload.
  3. Optional: Select the Assortment Update Mode check box.
    If you select this check box when you import an assortment that already exists:
    • The products that are listed in the XLS file and are not present in the existing assortment are added.
    • The products that are listed in the XLS file and are present in the existing assortment are updated.
    • The products that are present in the existing assortment but not listed in the XLS file are detached.
    • The colors of the consumer decision tree segments are not updated.
  4. Click Import.
    The selected files are imported.

The uploaded content is available in the 3D Merchandising app.

Notes:
  • Your Business Administrator can configure the parameters to import content.
  • The History tab lists the data that you have already imported and the imports that failed. You can download the import log files or delete these import entries. You can also cancel an import in progress. To do so, open another import window and in the history tab, click corresponding to the import in progress.

Import Previously Exported Data

You can import the data that was previously exported from the 3D Merchandising app.

Before you begin: Ensure that the ZIP file of the data exported from the 3D Merchandising app is available. For more information, see Exporting 3D Merchandising Data.
  1. In the top bar, select Add > Merchandising > Import Data.
    The Import 3D Merchandising Data window appears.
  2. Click in the Click or drop files here box and select the ZIP file. You can also drag the ZIP file into the Click or drop files here box.
    The ZIP file icon is highlighted.
    Tip: You can click Details to view the list of files selected for upload.
  3. Click Import.
    The file is imported.

The imported data is added to 3D Merchandising.
