About Execution Options

Execution options let you choose various preferences including the station computers that will be used to execute the different components of your experiment.

A station is any desktop, laptop, or server computer that has the 3DOrchestrate Station utility program installed and running. When you create a new experiment, a simulation process is created automatically in the 3DEXPERIENCE platform database. The simulation process includes a Co-Simulation Director adapter and other co-simulation supporting adapters based on the selected abstractions. All of these adapters are placed in parallel activities and are configured automatically according to the experiment.

A co-simulation group in the app is a group of activities at the same level of the simulation process hierarchy that will execute at the same time. The co-simulation group includes an activity named Experiment. You can open the experiment process in the app to see how it is configured, but do not modify the Experiment activity.

A co-simulation group is supported only with LSF DRM execution in 3DOrchestrate. If your system administrator has configured your 3DOrchestrate Distribution Server with an LSF system, you will be able to select LSF mode in the execution options and then specify the co-simulation group.
