Simulation Process Administration

Simulation Process Administration enables you to manage your simulation connectors, attributes, and attribute groups so that you can use them in simulation processes.

Methods developers or administrators familiar with Process Composer can manage these objects to prepare them for use in new simulation processes or activities.

Simulation connectors allow activities in a simulation process to communicate with an external application, such as Abaqus/Standard.

A simulation attribute is a variable that describes a simulation object, such as a simulation process or simulation activity. You can use attribute groups to create new simulation processes, activities, templates, and documents with predefined attributes.

Simulation Process Administration is a dashboard app that enables you to:

  • Create new simulation connectors, review all simulation connectors, and edit simulation connector options.
  • Create and edit simulation attributes.
  • Add simulation attributes to attribute groups.
  • View object properties using the Properties app.
  • Manage the lifecycle and collaboration status of objects using the Collaborative Lifecycle app.
  • Review relationships between objects using the Relations app.

You use Simulation Process Administration to view, create, and manage simulation connectors, attributes, and attribute groups. You can then use simulation connectors to run external applications from an OS command adapter in a simulation process created in Process Composer. You can use simulation attributes to describe simulation processes or activities. From Process Composer, you can map parameters to an attribute of a simulation process or activity.
