Validation and Verification Strategy

Validation and Verification Strategy enables you to define, optimize, and manage virtual and real testing. Tests are protocols used by engineers to ensure that a design meets the requirements. Validation and Verification Strategy allows you to view test coverage, identify gaps, and establish traceability between engineering requirements, testing, and design.

Validation and Verification Strategy helps you avoid costly recalls by ensuring compliance with the design, the regulations, and the customer requirements.

Validation and Verification Strategy is a dashboard app that you can use to:

  • Create, modify, and search for test specifications, test cases, and test executions.
  • Attach test scripts to test executions.
  • Schedule both real-world tests and virtual simulations.
  • Monitor the progress of a test campaign within a design program using a consolidated status dashboard.

You can also customize the test results with customer extensions. Customer extensions are specialization types or deployment extensions that provide additional attributes on-premises. For example, you can use specialization types to classify different types of test cases, such as validation tests and verification tests.

Typically, a test manager creates and assigns test executions. They then validate and verify that the results match the requirements.

Validation and Verification Strategy works along with Validation and Verification Library and Test Results Capture to manage your testing workflow. For more information, see Test Management
