File List
The files you have permission to access are displayed in the right pane. The files
are accessible in different views. To change your view, click the More
options flyout from Change your view
.
Connector for SOLIDWORKS supports these views.
Large Icons
|
Displays thumbnails of the file list. Note:
If a thumbnail is unavailable, Connector for SOLIDWORKS substitutes the
appropriate file format icon.

Medium Icons
|
Displays the medium sized icons for assembly,
part, and drawing icons. |
Small Icons
|
Displays the file list with small assembly,
part, and drawing icons |
List
|
Displays the file list without column detail.
|
Details
|
Displays the file list with columns of detail.
|
Tiles
|
Displays the file list in multiple rows
|
In the Details view, the following column headings are
standard for the file list.
Name
|
Name of the file or the folder. |
Checked Out By
|
The user who has checked out the file for editing. If blank, the
file is available to all users with access rights. |
Iteration
|
File revision and iteration information. In
this example:

-
* indicates modification of the local, or cached, file
after Connector for SOLIDWORKS retrieved the file from
the database.
- A.4 means that the 3DEXPERIENCE server file is revision
A , iteration 4.
In this example:

-
indicates the local iteration is out-of-date; there
is a newer iteration on the file on the 3DEXPERIENCE server.
- A.0 is the local iteration.
- A.0+ indicates the 3DEXPERIENCE server revision and
iteration are the same (A.0) as the local file. The
+ indicates the file on the
server has changes made on the server that make the
local file out-of-date. If you request a Get, the system
updates the local file with a copy of the up-to-date
server file.

Size
|
File size. |
State
|
The current state of the file as defined in the
lifecycle. For example, In Work, Frozen, Released and Obsolete.
|
Date Modified
|
Date the file was created or last modified. |
Checked Out In
|
Path to the checked out file. |
Computer Name
|
Computer the file is checked out on. |
You can change the columns that are displayed by right-clicking any column head.
Note:
The Name column is the only column that must always be
displayed.
You can drag column headers to change the order of the columns in the file list and
click column headers to sort files.
Other Tabs
When you select a file,
Preview,
Properties,
Contains
, and
Where Used tabs give you access to additional
information about file.
The
Preview Placement option on the
Display menu lets you choose whether to display
the tabs at the bottom of the right pane (the default) or to the right of the
file list.
