    • Copy the files, navigate to the folder that will contain the files, and paste the files.
    • Drag the files to the folder that will contain them.
  3. In the local database view folder, select the files.
  4. Check the files into the database as follows:
    1. Select Actions > Check In.
    2. From the Check In dialog box, select the check boxes relevant to your needs.

To see a thumbnail of any file, select the file. If the thumbnails fails to display at the bottom of the dialog box, from the toolbar, click Show Preview .

When checking in an assembly for the first time (that is, you select the assembly check box), the system makes the check boxes for reference subassemblies and parts inactive although they appear selected. The inactive check boxes mean the system is automatically checking in the reference files.
    3. If there are multiple object type selections, select the Object Type.

To have multiple Object Type selections, your administrator must have mapped multiple object types in the MCADInteg-BusTypeMapping Global Configuration Object (GCO).

    4. Optionally, add a comment.
    5. Click Check In.
