Checking in Files

You check in files to add new files to the server. You also check in files after editing them. Until you complete the check in, your new files and your edited files are only saved in the local 3DEXPERIENCE directory.

This task shows you how to:

Before you begin: Go to the Check In dialog, by doing one of the following :
  • To check in a single active file In SOLIDWORKS, click 3DEXPERIENCE > Check In.
Note: This is the only option if you are checking in for the first time a derived PDF file that you created by saving a SOLIDWORKS file .pdf file type. Checking in from outside SOLIDWORKS does not save derived PDFs.
  • To check in an active file and its checked-out reference files in SOLIDWORKS, click 3DEXPERIENCE > Check In All.

This option is only available if the active file you are checking in has at least one checked out referenced file.

  • To check in in Windows Explorer, right-click a file or folder and click Check In.
