3D Printing Preparation: Secondary Area

The secondary area of the 3D Printing section provides commands for for processing meshes for a future use by rapid prototyping machines.

Mesh Regeneration
Regenerates an existing mesh.
See Creating a 2D Mesh.
Decimate
Reduces the number of triangles of meshes to save computation time and memory.
See Decimating Meshes.
Mesh Smoothing
Smooths a mesh to reduce unwanted noise.
See Smoothing Meshes.
Trim/Split
See Flyout for Performing Operations on Meshes (available in 3D Printing Preparation).

Flyout for Performing Operations on Meshes

Trim/Split
Trims or split meshes by scans, curves, planes, surfaces or other meshes.
See Splitting a Mesh.
Split
Splits meshes or cloud of points in two sub-meshes or sub-clouds.
See Splitting Meshes or Clouds.
Merge Meshes
Merges two meshes, without modifying their triangles (holes are not filled, no management of overlaps, ...).
See Merging Meshes.
