Reusing a Group of Codes from One Time Analysis

You can reuse the code group of a time analysis by entering the name of that analysis into the Code column of a different analysis.


Before you begin: PPR open and a time analysis selected.

Time Analysis Dialog Box
  1. Click Create Time Analysis .
    The Time Analysis dialog box appears.
  2. Enter a short identifier as the title, for example T1, and a description.
  3. Select STD as the subsystem, and click OK.
    The Time Analysis Details dialog box appears.
  4. Enter applicable datacard codes in the Time Analysis Lines worksheet. Click OK to save and close.
  5. Click, Save the analysis to the database.
  6. Select the new T1 analysis and click Create Time Analysis .
  7. Enter the time analysis, code name, and description in the Time Analysis dialog box.
    The Time Analysis Details dialog box appears.
  8. Select STD Subsystem, and click OK.
  9. Enter T1 as a code.
    The codes entered for T1 are used in the time analysis.
  10. Add the additional codes, and click OK.
  11. Enter T2 and click Create Time Analysis .

You have two groups of codes (T1 & T2) in the time analysis in subsequent operations.

Notes:

  • You cannot select the codes cyclically: you cannot insert T1 into T2 and then attempt to insert T2 into T1.
  • You cannot insert a code into itself.
  • If you delete a time analysis representation (T2) using T1, then the T1 is not deleted.
  • You do not create multiple instances of the time analysis representation T1 by using it as a code.
