Adding a Media

You can add different types of media like images, including 360° images, video, audio, 3D Models, documents, drawings, 3D Sketch, 3DStory, xStudio Experience and Simulation media to any of your communities or conversations.

Before you begin: See 3DSwym Roles to know more about your Create, Read, Update and Delete rights while working with Content.

  1. In the top bar, select Add > 3D / Photo / Video.

  2. Select either of the following:

    Click:

    • Sketch to create and start editing your 3DSketch.

      For more information about 3DSketch, watch the introductory tutorial that is launched or see 3DEXPERIENCE Platform: Using My3DEXPERIENCE: 3D Modeling: Using 3DSketch.

      Note: The 3DSketch functional scope is the same in 3DSwym and My3DEXPERIENCE.

    • Whiteboard to contribute to the collaborative ideation and innovation process with a borderless whiteboard.
    • Story to quickly turn your ideas into stunning stories.

      For more information about 3DStory, open its guided tour or see 3DEXPERIENCE Platform: Using My3DEXPERIENCE: V+R: Using 3DStory.

    • Upload and select up to twenty local media.

      Note: If you want your media to be displayed in the What's New of 3DSwym, select "Display on What's New".
    • Drop one to twenty media from your device into the Drop your files from your desktop or click here: section.
  3. Select either of the following:
    • If you have created a 3DSketch, in the app toolbar, click Publish and select the communitty or the conversation where you want to publish your 3DSketch.
    • If you have uploaded or dropped a file, click Publish.
      Note: If you have previously selected What's New in the left pane, select one in the list of communities that you have recently visited. They display this icon along. Your favorite communities are identified by a . If you have many communities, enter its name and select it in the search results.

The 3DSketch or media are published selected community or conversation. If you have selected Display on "What's New", the 3DSketch or media will appear in the What's New of 3DSwym. Whichever the type of content, it will be also available on the Gallery.
