Adding a Media to a Post

You can add different types of media like images, video, audio, 3D Models, documents, and Drawings to any type of community item like Posts, Questions, Ideas, wikis, and WeDos. The behavior described in this scenario applies to any type of community item supporting an embedded media. For example, an idea. You can add a media from your community gallery, upload a media from your device or, if your media is an image, paste an image directly from the web.

On the cloud only: You can also add a media from 3DDrive,

3DDrive content can be accessed:

  • in a dashboard: if it has been added as a widget to the same tab along with 3DSwym, or if the Content right pane has been opened from the top bar.
  • In the 3DSwym app, if the Content right pane has been opened from the top bar.

Before you begin: See 3DSwym Roles to know more about your Create, Read, Update and Delete rights while working with Media or posts.

This command remains inactive if the image is already the default and current thumbnail, otherwise it lets you set the current image as thumbnail or restores the default one.
