Check Overlapping

You can find the overlapping of different areas of a sheet metal part.

Before you begin: Create a sheet metal part. Switch to the unfolded view.

Check Overlapping
  1. From the Tools section of the action bar, click Check Overlapping .
    Y

    The number of overlaps present on the analyzed sheet metal part is displayed in the Overlapping Detection dialog box.

  2. To change the view, click the Fold /Unfold icon from the Check Overlapping dialog box.
    You can see that the overlapping geometry is highlighted.
  3. Click to exit check overlapping.

Important: The overlapping is only computed when the two coinciding faces are either bottom/bottom or top/top.
