Symbol Edition Section

The Symbol Edition section provides commands for creating and editing symbols.

This page discusses:



Exit App
Exits the app.
It lets you return to the app containing your system when you are done creating geometrical shapes.

Add New Symbol

RFLP Painter
Copies and pastes 2D graphic properties of a function or a logical component.
See in the Functional & Logical Design User's Guide > Editing RFLP Properties > Copying and Pasting 2D Graphic Properties .


Flip Mirror
Creates a reversed or mirrored representation of an existing symbol.
Select along which axis the new geometry is created and which type of geometry must be created.

Create Polyline
See Flyout for Creating Line.


Create Rectangle
Creates a rectangle.
Click the diagram view to position the rectangle first point. Enlarge the geometry, and then click.

Create Circle

Manage Pick Mode
Manages the mobility and edition of a text attached to a symbol.

Text

Create Connection Point

Manage Frame Location
Defines the frame.
Set the step for the first horizontal and vertical cell of the frame.

Display Ghost Frame
Displays a preview of the frame.
The ghost frame is a graphic element to help you create your frame.

Flyout for Adding Symbol



Add New Symbol
Adds several symbol objects to a functional/logical symbol representation.
Enter a name for the new symbol object and validate.

Add Existing Symbol
Adds an existing symbol objects to a functional/logical symbol representation.
The existing symbol must be retrieved either from a catalog or from session.

Add New Alternative Representation
Creates a second symbol under a symbol representation.
In the New Alternative Representation dialog box, enter a name for the new symbol object, and then validate. Shapes created in main representation are visible when activating the alternative representation but they are non-editable.

Create Polyline
Creates a polyline.
Click the diagram view to position all the points of your geometry.

Create Line
Creates a line.
Click the diagram view to position the first end of the line. Drag your pointer to draw the line, and then click.

Create Circle
Creates a circle.
Click the diagram view to position the circle center. Enlarge your geometry, and then click.

Creates an ellipse.
