Library Usage for Smart Mechanical Components

The creation and use of libraries has been enhanced.
  • In Tools > Utility > ToolingMigration, you can associate the component family to a catalog chapter or a library class.

  • When placing a component, you can activate either a catalog or a library browser. By default, the library browser is proposed.
  • The library browser is available to customize context toolbars.
Benefits: Library usage is easier.

Mechanical Tooling Design

Updated files
FCPK folders and components were renamed Proplastica.
For more information, see Mechanical Tooling

Support of Polyhedral Geometry

You can now apply commands on polyhedral objects, or use polyhedral geometry as inputs.
Benefits: The app is more efficient and robust.

Smart Mechanical Components Features

You can now use Smart Mechanical Components features as result in another app without having access to a Smart Mechanical Components license.
  • Update of the features is not available in the absence of the Smart Mechanical Components license.
  • In some cases, the display, name, and icon of the features may change.
  • Component Specification features are not yet supported without license.
Benefits: You can use the features as geometrical results, within any role.

Component Impacts

The command has been enhanced.
  • All automatic clash options are now under the section Options.
  • Automatic Clash has been renamed into Preselect shapes impacted by clash detection.
  • A new option Create new Assemble at each computation manages solid impacts.
  • In Preferences, Create solid impacts in one Body has been renamed Optimize grouping of Solid Impacts into Bodies.

Benefits: The user experience is more productive.
