Managing Reviews

Reviews are used to store annotations.

Annotations are displayed:

  • In the review, in a table view
  • On your model, in the graphical view (if the review is added to context)

Create a Review

Before you begin: Reviews are stored in a folder.

Create a folder in one of the following tree categories:

  • Bookmark: in an existing bookmark workspace
  • Project: in an existing project

  1. Select a folder.
  2. From the properties area, click Create Review .
  3. Enter a name for your review.
  4. Optional: By default, a policy is selected. If required, select another policy in the list.

Verify the Referenced Elements in a Review

From the review, you can verify if the commented elements (that is, models or documents linked with an annotation) have been deleted or renamed.

For this, click Check .

Sort and Filter Annotations in a Review

From the column header, click the arrow to display and select the filter criteria that can be applied to this column:

Important:
  • When filters are applied from the review, the filters are also applied in the graphical view, when this review is in context.
  • Root elements only are sorted. The order of children elements is not modified.

Associate a Symbols Library with a Review

You can add symbols libraries and reviews in the same bookmark or project, to use these symbols with your annotations. The symbols must be added in a .zip file. The symbols library must be stored in the same bookmark as the review, but not necessarily in the same folder.

  1. Create symbols in a .png or .jpeg format.
  2. Create a .zip file with the symbols.

    Important: The symbols must be at the first level of the .zip file, not in a subfolder.

  3. In Systems Traceability Dashboarding, drag the .zip file to a folder (in a bookmark or a project).

    Tips:
    • You can associate the symbols library to the folder storing your review, or to another folder in the same bookmark (or project).
    • You can associate several symbol libraries to a bookmark (or project) folder.

  4. To associate this library to your review, drag the library from the tree, and drop it to the work area, onto the title of the review.
    When selecting the review, the associated library appears in the properties area, in the Out links section.

Close a Discussion Thread in a Review

You can indicate that the question is answered or the validation is done by closing the review.

  1. To close a discussion thread:
    1. From the 2D preview or from the review object, click the last message.
    2. Click Close Discussion Thread in the third column.
    3. Enter a final message in the message box and then click OK .
    The messages are no more editable (indicated with a gray background).
  2. Optional: To reopen a closed discussion thread, delete the closing message:
    1. Select the closing message.
    2. Click Delete in the last column.

    Note: The user who has closed the discussion thread is the only one authorized to reopen it.
