Computing Traceability

From the scope overview, you can compute the traceability coverage by entering the traceability mode.

Before you begin: Open a scope with traceability channels or implement links.

Optional: For a functional or logical model:
1. Click Edit .
2. Select the elements to be taken into account for the coverage computation:
  - Functional/Logical instances
  - Functional/Logical flows and system types
  By default, instances only are taken into account.

To enter the traceability mode, do one of the following:
- From the tree, select Traceability under the scope node.
- From the context toolbar, click Traceability in the scope work area.
The coverage of the traceability channel is computed.
In the traceability Overview, a graphical view displays colored labels on elements to indicate their coverage percentage.

Important: If you modify any element of your scope after computing the traceability, you must update the traceability result. For more information, see Refreshing Traceability.

To display the coverage in a table view, see Analyzing Traceability in the Table View.
To display and edit the links, you must enter the Coverage view. See Analyzing Coverage in the Graphical View.
